InterScience, Inc. has developed a highly sensitive Digital Luminescence
Detection System for rapid screening of luminescent-tagged biochemical
reactions. Applicable to any reaction that produces luminescence, this digital
instrumentation has ultra low-light detection capabilities, thereby allowing for
small sample sizes while producing results in minimal time. The system is
PC-controlled, and captures digital images which can be analyzed to accommodate
the application of the end user. This system was initially developed
specifically for tuberculosis screening via luciferase reporter
mycobacteriophage (LRM) biotechnology. However, it has widespread applicability
to any luminescence-based laboratory testing scenario.
